Privacy Policy

The Creative's Garden ("the platform," "we," "us") is a content-creation course run by The Meibos Touch (Julia Meibos). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

The platform is operated by The Meibos Touch. For privacy purposes, we act as the "data controller" for your information. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at julia@meibostouch.com.

What we collect

Account & profile

Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. Optionally, a profile photo, your timezone, and the season you've chosen.

The things you create

The notes you log about your recordings, your weekly intentions and goals, your seed packets, and your answers to the opening and closing self-assessments.

Your daily videos stay with you. You record on your own device, and only log written notes here — we do not collect, upload, or store your video files.

Preferences

Your reminder settings and your community-visibility choices. If you turn on the newsletter or reminders, we record that consent.

Payment

If you purchase the paid course, your payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited billing details, but we never see or store your full card number.

Technical

A session cookie to keep you signed in; a device token if you enable push notifications; and basic server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) that help us keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use it

To run the platform — your account, dashboard, goals, and community features.
To sign you in and keep your account secure.
To send service emails you need, like password resets, via Resend.
To send the daily and weekly reminders you turn on, by email and/or push.
If you opt in, to send you The Meibos Touch newsletter via Mailchimp.
To process payments for the paid course, via Stripe.
To understand what's working and improve the platform.

Cookies and tracking

The platform uses a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for the site to work and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the site itself.

If you click a link in one of our emails, our email tools (Mailchimp, and Google Analytics for campaign tracking) may record that click so we can understand engagement. You can avoid this by not clicking email links, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Your private content

The notes and reflections you log are private to your account by default. The only things other students can see are the limited progress indicators you explicitly choose to share in your community settings — and you can change those anytime from your profile. As your course facilitator, Julia may access account information to support you, while respecting the private nature of your practice.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the service providers that help us run the platform, each under their own privacy terms:

Railway — hosting and database (where your account and content live).
Resend — sending service and reminder emails.
Mailchimp — sending the newsletter and reminders you opt into.
Stripe — processing payments for the paid course.
Google Analytics — measuring clicks on links in our marketing emails.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

Legal bases (for EU/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performing our contract with you (to run your account and course); your consent (for the newsletter); and our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it). You can withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll remove your personal data within a reasonable time — except limited records we're legally required to keep, such as payment history.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile, change or turn off reminders, control what the community sees, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any newsletter. To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, email julia@meibostouch.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we will honor valid requests.

Security

We protect your account with hashed passwords, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

Children

The Creative's Garden is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Where your data is processed

The platform is hosted in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows or the law changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know.
