Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 9, 2026
The Creative's Garden, run by The Meibos Touch (Julia Meibos), is committed to being usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. This is a small, growing platform, and accessibility is something we keep working on rather than treat as finished.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our standard. We don't claim perfect conformance yet, but it's the target we build toward.
What we've done
Some of the steps we've taken to make the platform more accessible:
- Structured pages with meaningful, semantic HTML and headings.
- Support for keyboard navigation, with visible focus styles on interactive elements.
- Labels and descriptive text for buttons, links, and form fields.
- Attention to color contrast for body text against its background.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting — animations (like the block-buster and propagation celebrations) are softened or turned off when your device requests it.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops, and to text resizing and zoom.
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked so screen readers can skip them.
Known limitations
We're honest that some areas aren't fully there yet. As we add features quickly, a few interactive elements, illustrations, or newer sections may not yet meet our standard. If you hit a barrier, we'd genuinely like to know so we can fix it.
Tell us about a problem
If you have trouble using any part of The Creative's Garden, or you need something in a different format, please email julia@meibostouch.com. Let us know the page or feature, what happened, and the device or assistive technology you were using if you can. We take this seriously and will do our best to help and to improve.
Updates
We'll revisit this statement as the platform grows and as we make improvements, and we'll update the "last updated" date above.
